~What games did you play in your house or neighbourhood?~
This one is a fun one to answer. My younger sister Kellie and I loved playing games . . . checkers, Monopoly, Clue, putting together puzzles, but our favourite game by far was imagining with our paperdolls. We had the entire set of the Ginghams paperdolls (wonder whatever happened to them!) and would turn the living room into a whole town with the ice cream parlour, schoolhouse, and all . . . creating intricate scenes that all of the characters would participate in together . . . what a blast!
In our neighbourhood, we had a friend down the street with a clubhouse in her backyard, and it was a BIG DEAL to be invited to play “Club” with her. I remember being invited but I honestly don’t remember what we did . . . but it must have been “cool”! LOL
My best friend growing up (Cami) didn’t live in my immediate neighbourhood, but her house was close enough that back then in the early/mid 80s, Kellie and I could walk over to play with her and her siblings. We rode bikes, played dress up, house and school . . . she was always the teacher . . . but that was fine because I loved learning from her . . . Some of my fondest memories are of growing up with the L. family’s kids!

So good to be back. Our domain provider had issues realising that it had actually been paid for the next 3 months’ worth of service so it suspended our account. James was FINALLY able to get things squared away with them today! (YAY!)
So . . . my birthday . . . yeah it was great!
On Tuesday I went out with my guys and just enjoyed spending time with them. Quiet but good. And the messages via email and Facebook . . . awwww . . . I love my friends!
On Wednesday, a few of my dearest friends got together and took me to see a play (“Putting It Together” by Sondheim) at our city’s Fringe Festival. What a blast that was! After that, they “kidnapped” me and took me to supper. Our waitress was told to embarrass me completely . . . let’s just say a Pippi-Longstockings type tinfoil beanie was involved . . . as was my standing on my chair, facing the entire restaurant and being sung to. In years past, that might have brought me to tears, or at very least to a beet red face, but as it was, I laughed through it and even posed for a few pictures that my friends took, which thankfully, they have NOT posted to Facebook yet! LOL
I came home to homemade cupcakes from Andrea that night too! So sweet of her . . . and yummy!
So despite (or perhaps because of it) my shamelessness, I had a wonderful birthday celebration, and feel extraordinarily loved.
Right now though, I wish I could rewind time to how I felt those days. Physically I mean . . . mentally/emotionally I’m GREAT! But I’ve managed to catch a silly end-of-summer cold . . . boohissss . . .
Here’s to tissue, cough drops and lots of rest!
See you soon!

~Where would you like to vacation most, and why?~
I think I’d most like to go on holiday to the British Isles. Both James and I have family history there (mostly in England and Wales), so it would be really cool to go visit there and do some genealogy too. There’s just so much heritage (personal and historical) there . . . I’d love to see Scotland and Ireland as well. My birth mother always wanted to go to Britain but never got the chance to before she passed away, so I think it would be nice to be able to go “for” her so to speak.
