As you notice, there was not a Family History Friday post yesterday. I needed time to do some research and formulate a post about a very difficult topic.
On Thursday, I learned that my “netfriend” Kathleen said goodbye to her family on Monday morning, left for work, and has not been seen since. Today I found out that her truck was found, but there is still no trace of her. Kathleen is from Alaska, and I have another friend from the same city keeping her ears open for updates for me as well.
It’s so surreal. You hear of this happening (not too frequently, thank God!), but it adds a whole other horrifying dimension when it’s someone you know. I have never had the opportunity to meet “Beany” in real life, but she has become my friend irregardless. My heart hurts to think that she may be out there alone and confused, or worse . . .
So this is the prayer I’ve been praying for the past 48+ hours . . .
Dear Father in Heaven,
Please bless Kathleen. Please bring her home. If not to her family, bring her Home to Thee. Please be with her dear ones at this difficult time and uplift us all as we try to seek understanding in this tragic circumstance.
In Jesus’ Name, amen.
Please pray for her, for her family, for the authorities and others who’re on the lookout for our dear Kathleen.
Thank you.

This is so … wow. Surreal seems like a good word. I remember seeing her comments on your blog.
Will pray for her and her family.
