~Tell about your favourite aunt.~
I’ll admit, when I pulled this question out of the bag today, I was a little miffed. I didn’t remember that there was a question that asked me to “play favourites”. I don’t like doing that. I want to give everyone an equal chance . . . and equal love!
That said, I’ll tell you about the aunt that I know the best. My dad has 6 siblings: 4 brothers and 2 sisters. My aunt Connie is the youngest of Dad’s sisters. She lives in Utah, and has 3 daughters. She is a property accountant for Extra Space and sews AMAZINGLY well!
I remember staying with her and her girls my first Thanksgiving at BYU. It was so nice to be able to spend time with my dad’s side of the family. They all lived in either California or Utah, and so, growing up in Washington state, I never really got to know them well. Staying with Connie over holidays, and having her come to visit me at BYU was very fun!
I actually ended up living with Connie for a few months after I came home from my mission. We were both struggling in our personal lives at the time, and I remember having intense conversations sitting in her kitchen. I think that time cemented our relationship as more than just an aunt/niece relationship.
I love all my aunts, but Connie will always hold a particularly special place in my heart!

I can’t do this because my family sometimes read my blog, and it might be apparent how easily I picked my favourite… =P
